Due to ongoing concerns about the spread of coronavirus, all routine screening mammograms for both the Women’s Mobile Clinic and our main campus have been cancelled, effective immediately. The decision was made based on the prolonged, close face-to-face proximity required for a mammogram.
We ask that all patients with a fever or a cough reschedule their Women's Mobile Clinic appointment by calling 303-436-4949. After rescheduling your appointment, we recommend you call the Denver Health Nurse Line at 303-739-1211. Our nurses can help you decide if you need to make an appointment at a primary care clinic or visit our urgent care or emergency room.
About the Women's Mobile Clinic
The Women’s Mobile Clinic is one of Denver Health’s federally-qualified community health centers. The Women’s Mobile Clinic provides patient education as well as cervical and breast cancer screening, including digital mammography.
The mobile clinic is designed to help reduce barriers to cancer screening that many women experience. By moving the clinic to each of the other eight Denver Health community health clinics and to various other sites in the metropolitan area, Denver Health patients are able to more easily access breast and cervical cancer screenings. Women may access both cervical and breast cancer screenings in one visit, or they may opt to have only one service.
Our clinic staff is fluent in English and Spanish, and interpreter services are available for most other languages. Patient navigation and case management services are available to those women who need additional follow-up to their screenings.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, most commercial health insurance, CICP and Denver Health Financial Assistance Program (DFAP).
Need Women's Health Insurance?
If you do not have commercial health insurance and are a Denver County resident, Denver Health Charity Care and Enrollment Services will help you enroll in family and adult Medicaid, the Colorado Indigent Care Program or the Denver Health Financial Assistance Program, as well as the Women’s Wellness Connection program which may cover the cost of breast and/or cervical cancer screening and diagnostics. The Women's Mobile Clinic may also provide payment assistance for basic screening mammograms under a grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
