Dr. Mauffrey is the Director of Service of the Department of Orthopedics, Rehabilitation and Physical therapy at Denver Health Medical Center and the Director of Orthopedic Trauma and Research Divisions. He is a professor of Orthopedics at the Colorado University School of Medicine.
Dr. Mauffrey is from Marseille, France but grew up in Singapore and Hong Kong and did his Medical School at the University of Turin in Italy. He then went to England to pursue his residency training in Orthopedics under the auspices of the Royal College of Surgeons. Cyril did his Orthopedic Trauma fellowship at the University of Louisville. He is the current Editor in Chief for the European Journal of Orthopedics and serves on several other editorial boards. He travels nationally and internationally to give talks on orthopedic trauma particularly on pelvic and acetabular fractures. With over 140 peer-reviewed publications authored in the field of Orthopedic Trauma in addition to book chapters and textbooks on the same topic Cyril’s research focuses on the treatment and outcomes following complex pelvic and acetabular fractures (fractures of the hip socket and the pelvic bones).
